Final folio submission

The final deadline is:::

Monday 2nd November
between 4-5pm
in G2.29

You will need to submit the final version of your project with:
- Final cut of animation/film OR published copy of concept art/game design book
- On a separate disc your storyboard, character sheets, animatic and rough cut
- Support material: sketches, notes, test animations and so on

Burn onto a DVD-R and present in a case with your name, student number and name of your project. Do not use any sticky labels on the DVD-R. Presentation counts!

Your blog will also be assessed at this time - make sure it is up to date!

...

Mark and I are planning to have celebratory drinks after submission and you are more than welcome to join us.

Week 13 ::: Screening of rough cuts

So... next Monday. You will need to:

1. Edit a rough cut of your animation. If you don't have all the scenes done yet then use your animatic to fill in the missing shots.

2. Preload and test your animation onto the tutor's machine.

3. We will then play them all on the projector and invite feedback from everyone...

This will allow for you to check on how clearly your story is coming across and allow time for final tweaks on your animation.

^^

May subject everyone to stories from recent travels as well...

MMD3306/MMD3308 ::: Crossmedia fictional worlds - final DEADLINE

hi all,
Thanks again for your presentations last night. We had a lively discussion with our two guest examiners immediately following your wrap-up.

Now the final deadline approaches. There are two tasks:
[1] AS A GROUP: Please submit ALL documentation and materials to my office. Details as follows:

Location: G2.13
Time: between 2-3pm
Date: Friday September 11th

[2] AS AN INDIVIDUAL: Each of you must complete a peer assessment exercise - outlined below.

Your team members and lecturers will grade your individual performance for the ARG project. You are required to give each member of your team (concept, video, web or print) a grading (between 1-5) and detailed comment which reflects their contribution in and to the project:

5: inclusive, proactive, worked very hard and participated in the group as much as possible
4: inclusive, proactive, worked hard, did not participate in the group as much as possible
3: did what was required on time
2: did what was required on time but missed meetings
1: missed deadlines, no/low attendance at meetings

NOTE: Failure to email the grades AND detailed comments by the required deadline means you have not met submission requirements and as such will incur a penalty for late submission. Non-submission of the grades and comments may result in a fail for the project.

Send this information to me by return email with 'peer assessment' in the subject line also by Friday September 11th.

thanks,
Troy & Mark

Week 5 ::: closure

In contrast to last weeks talk on game spaces we looked at the construction of narrative spaces in cinema and how these are resolved to bring closure in a story.

All of these films/anime have an aspect of alternate reality construction to them as well... once again, highly recommend that you view these as part of your life as a digital artist and/or multimedia designer.
